Report claims Microsoft is developing a low-cost, streaming-only Xbox

At the recent E3 conference, Microsoft announced its cloud gaming system, which is being called by a new report Scarlett Cloud. But it seems that isn’t the only big thing coming for Microsoft’s next-gen Xbox strategy. Thurrott.com reports the next Xbox will be coming in two versions. One is the traditional gaming console with games being processed locally, and the other will be a lower-powered system that will stream games from the cloud. The report says the console will still have some processing power to help counter any latency usually associated with streaming games and it’ll run part of the game locally but the rest will be streamed to the system. This streaming-based Xbox is being speculated to cost much lower but will make up its profits from the sales of games and online services.

‘Fortnite’ rumoured to be coming to the Nintendo Switch

It might not be wise to rely on 4chan for updates but Kotaku seems to think the leaked document discovered on the forum might be reliable enough. Rumour has it that Epic Games will be bringing Fortnite to the Nintendo Switch An anonymous source privy to Epic Games’ plans also confirmed with the site that the game will be coming to the platform.

The leaked document showed part of E3 showroom planning and it featured marketing materials for games like Fortnite, Paladins, Dragon Ball FighterZ, FIFA, Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, as well as unannounced games like Killer Queen Black and Overcooked 2. It wouldn’t come as much of a surprise if the game does hit the platform, considering its popularity. Epic Games doesn’t have a comment yet on the report.

Snapchat reportedly plans to release dev kit

If reports are to be believed, you might be able to see a “Log in with Snapchat” option in non-Snapchat apps. TechCrunch reports that Snap is planning to launch a full-fledged developer platform it’s calling Snapkit. This platform will let third-party developers do things like the aforementioned being able log into their apps with Snapchat credentials, or use Snapchat’s camera (and even share back to Snapchat), or even use Bitmoji avatars in their apps. This move might help bring back the followers it’s lost or even attract new users, especially for those wary of using Facebook to sign into new services now. And since Snapchat asks for less information, it might be less risky if a site with your Snapchat login will compromise too much information. It isn’t clear thought which apps will offer login first, this might be dependent on which companies Snap can convince to partner with them. If this does come true, are you willing to use the “Log in with Snapchat” option?

Lenovo Z5 and its rumoured outrageous specs will make June 5th debut

There is a lot going on with the Lenovo Z5 (or ZUK Z5) that we’re not sure if the degree of its outrageousness might warrant some truth to it. Lenovo Group VP Chang Cheng announced on Weibo that the phone is debuting on June 5th, showing the official poster for the event. Cheng has been dropping hints about this device in the past few weeks. And one of the biggest things is that almost 95 percent screen-to-body ratio, which we see in the sketch above. The only other company who has gotten this close to this ratio is the Vivo Apex. A couple of the other hints he’s dropped include 4TB internal storage and up to 45 days of standby time. Now, whether these all ring true is something we’re going to find out in a few days.
