Google now links you to iOS apps within Safari mobile

With Spotlight Search in iOS 9 it’s much easier to be redirected to apps you want to access, so why would you even need to use search engines to look for these things? That’s what Google is trying to fight against. The company’s hoping you still use its search engine to do as much you can, even in Apple’s iOS ecosystem. And so this time if you search for iOS apps or contents in these apps within Google search, you will be redirected to the downloaded app or to the App Store. Previously, you could only do this in Google Chrome browser or Google app. But now you can also do this within the mobile Safari app.

Apple launches OS X 10.10 Yosemite

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

San Francisco, CA: The latest version of the Mac OS X desktop and notebook operating system was revealed today at WWDC 2014. Codemaned Yosemite, the newest os features a revamped look and feel as well as various new features including an improved Spotlight Search, Notification Center with a day-view as well as the introduction of iCloud Drive which is a better integration of Applr's cloud backup and sharing platform. Mail has also received an upgrade by using a new technology called Mail Drop for large files and attachments of up to 5GB in size. Yosemite also improves on Safari, Apple's native browser, by making it more streamlined and less obtrusive. Safari is also faster and better for rendering HD video from sources such as Netflix

The AirDrop feature is now cross platform between iOS and Macs. A new continuity feature allows users to start a project on a Mac and then seamlessly continue this on the OS X machines. Phone integration on Mac OS X is even more seamless, text messages and phone calls can be routed to the desktop even if the user's iPhone isn't tethered to the Macs.

Yosemite is available to developers starting today but it will be released to the public in the Fall and it will be a free upgrade for current Mavericks users.

The Apple Beat: Safari on iOS is still the Mobile Browsing Juggernaut

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

Adobe releases Edge beta, a new HTML5-based animation tool

Adobe recently released the beta of Adobe Edge, a new web motion and interaction design tool that allows designers to bring animated content to websites, using web standards like HTML5 (Hypertext Markup Language for describing Web pages), JavaScript (the programming language used for Web apps), and CSS3 (Cascading Style Sheets for formatting and animation effects).

While Flash is a huge part of Adobe's business, we learned during interviews with Mark Anders (above) this year that HTML5 animation and motion graphics is also something that Adobe is working on supporting. What's the big deal with HTML5, it is an emerging standard that should work on all platforms without any plugins so it can be even more ubiquitous than Flash in the long run. Developers who are interested can download the beta here.
