Samsung reportedly contemplates flagship rebrand

Samsung might be looking to distinguish its flagship series smartphones from the rest of its product lineup. Korean publication E-Today reported that the company is exploring the possibility of removing the Galaxy name for these premium phones. The approach would be similar to how Lexus is Toyota's luxury car brand and Hyundai sells premium cars under the Genesis branding.

As Tom's Guide noted, the change might be crucial as bloated as the Galaxy name is now. There are five smartphone lines underneath it, as well as tablets, earbuds, smartwatches, and even smart rings.

Galaxy flagships running One UI 3.1 get wireless DeX support on PC

Wireless DeX on the PC option was first introduced with the Galaxy S21 series, and now Samsung is rolling this feature out to older Galaxy flagships through the One UI 3.1 update. Galaxy flagships starting with the Galaxy S10 series will gain access to this functionality.

Sir Richard Branson announces Virgin Mobile’s RE*Generation expanded youth initiative

This week, Sir Richard Branson and Virgin Mobile hosted an exclusive live concert event with The Arkells in Toronto to announce a new initiative to help at-risk and homeless youth. The Virgin Mobile RE*Generation social initiative, which began in 2008, will be re-focusing on programs with partners that will help youth develop skills needed to get, and keep, jobs.

There are 225,000 Canadian youth who are not in school and not working. Virgin Mobile also mentioned that there are also about 35,000 are in emergency shelters and 6000 youth living on the street.
