Breaking News: BlackBerry "PlayBook" Tablet launched at Developer Conference

It is called the PlayBook and it is RIM's new 7-inch tablet which features a  1GHz dual-core processor and integrates with user's existing BlackBerry accounts. The PlayBook can handle Flash 10.1 as well as HTML5 web standards as well as Adobe Air integration. Powered by QNX OS which highlights security and stability, the PlayBook is expected to be available in 2011. Video  and photos after the break.

Preview! Samsung Galaxy Tab 7' inch Android tablet

Here's a recently leaked video from Mobileburn.com of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab we wrote about back in June. From the video we learn it will be launched on September 2, 2010, will run Android OS 2.2, it has video calling capability and e-reader functionality and the 7-inch form factor allows it to be held with one hand. Samsung readies Android tablet for Q3 2010

It was bound to happen. The long awaited Samsung Galaxy  Tablet is reportedly launching in Q3 2010. This long-rumoured Android-powered tablet is said to be running version 2.1 of  Google's mobile OS and with the customary Samsung TouchWiz overlay. It will offer a  7-inch AMOLED display, smaller than the  10-inch Apple iPad. We're sure this is the first of many upcoming tablet devices hitting the market for the back-to-school season.
