Redecorating a room in your home can be a fun challenge. We emphasize the word challenge, though. But one of the new features Apple introduced to developers last month could help out with digitally planning a space. Yes, you won't need to move any furniture around first. RoomPlan is a new Swift API that uses Apple's ARKit and an iPhone or iPad with a camera and LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging). After announcing their partnership in October, TikTok and Shopify are ready to test its TikTok Shopping feature with select Shopify merchants. The pilot has kicked off in the US and UK, with Canadian merchants getting access to the feature in the coming weeks.

Shopify merchants with a TikTok For Business account will soon get the option to add a Shopping tab on their profiles and sync their product catalogs to have a mini-storefront on the platform. They will also get the option to tag products in TikTok videos, which will link out to their storefront for checkout.

Data breaches are incidents we, unfortunately, can't escape. But the Ottawa-based Shopify's data breach occurred within the company. Shopify revealed in a blog post that two "rogue" members of its support team were caught "in a scheme to obtain customer transactional records of certain merchants."

Shopify claims less than 200 merchants were affected, but it isn't known how much data was stolen. The company is quick to say that payment information like credit card and account numbers weren't affected. But customer information and order details of what was purchased were accessed. Shopify didn't name the stores involved, but it has informed the sellers. So, best keep an eye out on your inbox to see if you've been affected by the breach.
