Apple iPhone 7 Plus used to shoot ESPN’s ‘Body Issue’

Apple plays its part in the ESPN “Body Issue” cover this year. Its iPhone 7 Plus smartphone was used to shoot the cover with Chicago Cubs infielder Javier Baez. The image shows Baez in the nude and shot in portrait style. To show off that it’s been shot using Apple’s current flagship phone, the company seems to have purchased the back cover of the issue to say it was shot with the phone. In the middle of the page you see an iPhone 7 Plus set to a white background and the words “Cover shot on iPhone 7 Plus” with the device seemingly set to Portrait Mode, which is an iPhone 7 Plus-exclusive feature. There is also fine print on the bottom of the ad saying that the photo is edited with a Mac.

Two new ‘Shot on iPhone’ ads surface, one of them shot in Ontario

Apple takes us to the great outdoors in our backyards with the two new “Shot on iPhone” ads. This time the highlight is on nature and the zoom feature of the iPhone. One of the ads was shot in Greater Sudbury, Ontario. Called “Shot on iPhone by Linda H.” it shows a slow-motion close-up of a chipmunk trying to break into a peanut with the song “Season 2 (Episode 3) by Glass Animals in the background.  The other clip was shot in Tel Aviv, Israel and labeled as “Shot on iPhone by Tim W.” We see an ant carry a leaf fragment across sand with Charlotte Day Wilson’s “Work” playing in the background.

The “Shot on iPhone” ad campaign shows how actual iPhone users make the most of their iPhone cameras (without any special tools or software) while being backed by songs taken from Apple Music.
