Xiaomi's concept smart glasses have a MicroLED display

 

Xiaomi imagines what it wants smart glasses to look like with this new concept. The Xiaomi Smart Glasses feature a conventional glasses-like design. But, unlike the recently launched Facebook and Ray-Ban Stories, these get a display you can use for augmented reality features. 

Xiaomi adds a monochrome MicroLED system into these glasses. Xiaomi opted for this display tech because it has "higher pixel density and longer lifespan while having a simpler structure" than OLED. The company also says it "allows for a more compact display, as well as easier screen integration." MicroLED is considered a successor to OLED. But it is still prohibitively expensive at the moment.

Lenovo ThinkReality A3 Smart Glasses are capable of showing five virtual displays

Lenovo introduces a new pair of enterprise-grade smart glasses that it says is "one of the most advanced and versatile" available. The ThinkReady A3 can be used for tasks like 3D visualization and augmented reality-guided workflows. It comes at a time when the world is "looking to adopt new technologies for smart collaboration. 

Unlike Lenovo's first ThinkReality model (the A6), these glasses look like a pair of chunky sunglasses. Lenovo says it can modify these to have industrial frames to make them sturdier and safer.
