Beatport brings EDM lovers together on mobile

Are you a fan of electronic dance music? Beatport has just introduced a new hub for EDM into Google’s and Apple’s mobile platforms. This coincides with the recent launch of their free streaming service. Beatport’s aim for this app is to make it the top destination of both fans and DJs who need to stock up on tracks. You can stream your favourite songs on there for free. It also features a calendar of EDM events and built-in ticket purchasing capability.

Stitcher wants you to drive safely with new Car Mode for the iPhone

You don’t need to drive a BMW to enjoy Stitcher Radio in your car. The app has introduced a new Car Mode for the Apple iPhone featuring a simplified interface for easier and safer control while driving. You just need to tap the Stitcher logo on top of the screen to get started.

Stitcher can be used in both landscape and portrait orientations and have new features such as being able to listen to the archive of your favorite shows and the sleep timer is accessible via the player screen. Other improvements include a redesigned Front Page that shows breaking headlines from your favorite media sources, easier one-tap access to shows using search, and faster playback start up. SourceCode: Netflix shuns BlackBerry, no playback on PlayBook

This is unfortunate news. Netflix made it known today via Twitter that they have no plans of supporting BlackBerry and will not even develop a Netflix client for the PlayBook tablet.

“We don’t have any current plans to support Blackberry devices, including Playbook,” said a tweet from Netflix's service account, shooting down the hopes of PlayBook owners everywhere who already subscribe to Netflix or may be toying with the idea.
