Vine brings full profiles, TV mode online

Twitter’s six-second video app Vine has finally been ported online to allow you to check your feed, share, like and comment on videos as well as browse through the body of work of your favorite Vine users.

While you still can’t record videos using your webcam, at least you can view your favorite clips in TV mode. This new feature allows you to watch a user’s clips consecutively and in full screen mode. You can skip through videos with the arrow buttons or just watch every single Vine a user posts.

Vine launches vanity URL sign-ups

Twitter’s six-second video sharing site, Vine, is giving its users the ability to register for their profiles starting December 23, Monday. Verified accounts were given a head start to claim their URLs on December 20, Friday. The vanity URL will be a good marketing tool for brands as it allows users to browse through your catalog of past videos.

The social network said they reserved profile URLs for those with verified Twitter @usernames but would still require the users to register the name. You have the option to use a different name from your Twitter account but you have to make sure it does not have an equivalent verified account on Twitter.
