Live: Apple's WWDC 2011 in San Francisco

San Francisco - We're at the Moscone centre in downtown San Francisco for Apple's Worldwide Developer's Conference which kicks off this morning with a keynote presentation by Apple CEO Steve Jobs. This year's WWDC is expected to slant heavily towards software, namely the new OS X 10.7 Lion as well as the updated version of Apple's mobile iOS version 5. A third component of today's presentation is Apple's iCloud streaming service that is speculated to be a music streaming  delivery service for iOS devices and connected notebooks and desktops.

The Apple Beat: Countdown to Apple's WWDC 2011

San Francisco - A few hours away from the 2011 Apple Worldwide Developers Conference and expectations are running high on what the upcoming announcements  will mean for Apple and for the technology sector. iCloud, Apple's new streaming delivery service is expected to be big news, specially if it can deliver an entirely new model of content distribution to its hundreds of millions of existing iTunes users. WWDC 2011 = Great Expectations

Apple's World Wide Developer's Conference (WWDC 2011) is the one time in the year that Apple gears up for huge hardware and software announcements (iPhone 4 was revealed there a year ago) targeted to its developer community. It is also the time of year when future projects and roadmaps are unveiled while the whole world watches.

For WWDC 2011 it is all about OS X Lion, iOS 5 and the mysterious new iCloud streaming service. We will be there to bring you the latest reports from the Steve Jobs keynote on Monday, 10:00 a.m. Pacific/ 1:00 p.m. Eastern time.

Apple to Unveil Lion, iOS 5 and iCloud on Monday's WWDC Keynote

Apple CEO Steve Jobs and a team of Apple executives will kick off the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) with a keynote address on Monday, June 6 at 10:00 a.m. At the keynote, Apple will unveil its next generation software - Lion, the eighth major release of Mac OS® X; iOS 5, the next version of Apple’s advanced mobile operating system which powers iPad, iPhone and iPod touch; and iCloud, Apple’s upcoming cloud services offering.
