EnGenius Technologies unveils dual-band wireless AC routers with personal cloud service

Three new wireless routers make their way out of EnGenius Technologies’ labs, including the ESR1200 Dual-Band AC1200 Router with Gigabit and USB, ESR1750 Dual-Band AC1750 Router with Gigabit and USB, and EUB Dual-Band Wireless AC1200 USB Adapter.

The ESR1200 and ESR1750 both include the free EnShare service that lets you create a personal cloud for accessing, sharing, and uploading data within and outside of the network. These also feature Quantum Beam technology that accelerates the wireless speeds of 80.211ac-capable computers and other devices nearly three times faster than Wireless-N. The EUB1200AC is a 2.4 or 5GHz adapter allows for high transfer speeds of wireless AC to desktops and laptops quicker than before and also backwards compatible with 802.11 a/b/g/n.

Netflix introduces Profiles

Like a lot of things in life, different people like different TV shows and movies. Netflix is making it easier for your household to get the most out the streaming service with its new Profiles feature. It is now possible for Netflix members to create separate profiles for different members of your household that is personalized to the viewing habits and favorite shows and genres of each person. 

Each Netflix account can have up to five profiles without additional charge for the basic subscription price. New members can add profiles for each member of their family while signing up, while existing members can add profiles through Netflix’s site or on the Sony PlayStation 3. Profiles can be accessed on most devices that support Netflix, including the Netflix website, PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, Apple iPad, iPhone, AppleTV, other iOS devices, and most smart TVs.
