Nomad has unveiled its latest multi-device charger, the Stand One Max, featuring Qi2 support for faster iPhone charging. This marks a departure from the previous MagSafe-based model, offering users the benefits of the new Qi standard without compromising charging speed.

The Stand One Max can charge an iPhone up to 15W, which promises comparable performance to MagSafe. Designed for convenience and style, the Stand One Max features an upright charging base for the iPhone, a small charging arm for the Apple Watch, and a Qi-based platform for AirPods. Its compact form factor makes it ideal for desks or nightstands. It also boasts a sleek metal design with a shiny glass cover and is available in silver or carbide finishes.

Leaked image reveals iPhone 16 Pro colour options

Photo: @MajinBuOfficial / X

A new leaked image suggests the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will feature camera lens rings that match previously reported colours. The photo suggests the new Desert Titanium colour, replacing last year's Blue Titanium, will join White, Black, and Natural Titanium options. The Black Titanium is rumoured to be significantly darker than its predecessor, while Natural Titanium will have a more grey hue.

These leaks align with earlier reports of a polished stainless steel finish, similar to the iPhone X to iPhone 14 Pro. While initial rumours suggested a Rose Gold-like colour, recent evidence (like this one) points to a more Bronze-toned finish.

Apple opens up NFC access to developers, but at a cost

Until recently, iPhones' near-field communication (NFC) capabilities were largely restricted to Apple Pay and a few other Apple-approved functions. However, with the upcoming release of iOS 18.1, Apple is set to significantly expand NFC access for developers.

This move comes after Apple reached a settlement with the European Commission over antitrust concerns related to its exclusive control over NFC payments on iPhones.

No big changes expected for iPhone 16 series

Since its 2020 redesign, the iPhone has seen incremental updates rather than groundbreaking changes. This trend is set to continue with the upcoming iPhone 16 lineup.

While last year's Pro model introduced a titanium shell, the core device remained largely unchanged. The Dynamic Island, though hailed as innovative, was more of an interface tweak than a fundamental shift. This year's models will follow suit, offering subtle refinements rather than a dramatic overhaul.
