Wind Mobile is Canada's newest wireless carrier

The Government of Canada has varied a Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) decision regarding Globalive Wireless Management Corp., a Canadian-owned and controlled company. Globalive's Wind Mobile is poised to challenge Canada's wireless provider Rogers, Telus and Bell.

Nokia's N97 launches with Bells and Whistles

Nokia launched its N97 all-in-one smartphone device today which is exclusive to Bell Canada. Bell, who just a day before launched its first Android OS smartphone,  seems to be launching HSPA handsets as fast as it can in time for the holiday buying season.

Bell's own Android: Samsung's Galaxy Smartphone Launched

Chrome Browser goes beta for Mac and Linux (finally)

There's been a lot of Google Chrome news of late. First there was the preview of Google Chrome OS slated for a 2010 debut and today they released the beta of Google Chrome Browser for the Mac and for Linux. Google is notorious for offering Beta versions of their software which are pretty functional. GMail was beta for six years before Google upgraded it.
