Samsung doubles down on AI with Galaxy S25 series

Samsung officially announced the Galaxy S25 series, highlighting a significant focus on artificial intelligence capabilities. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, the S25 lineup features a dedicated Personal Data Engine core for enhanced AI processing.

This dedicated core enables personalized AI experiences, learning user habits and interacting with other Samsung devices (like the Galaxy Ring or Watch) to anticipate needs and automate tasks. For example, the phone could automatically turn off the TV when the user falls asleep or suggest a "sleep mode" to minimize distractions.

Nothing tipped to launch flagship Phone (3) in Q1 2025

A leaked internal email from Nothing founder Carl Pei and shared by Evan Blass, a.k.a. @evleaks, shared what we could expect from Nothing's newest smartphone. The company is supposedly hosting a "landmark smartphone launch" for the Nothing Phone (3), which is being touted as the brand's first flagship phone, in the first quarter of 2025. It will also supposedly be the brand's first device to integrate artificial intelligence features.

Nothing is also focusing on the phone's camera capabilities, with the company expanding its camera teams by 50%. Many smartphone AI features focus on camera capabilities, so this rumoured move isn't surprising.

The Apple iPhone 17 is coming later this year. And this new series will reportedly bring with it the thinnest iPhone ever. The phone is expected to be called the iPhone 17 Air, which aligns it with existing Air products in Apple's arsenal (like the iPad Air and MacBook Air).

CES 2025 brought us a truly bizarre yet intriguing invention: the Swippitt, a device that can fully charge your phone in a mere two seconds. How? By swapping out your phone's battery with a fully charged one.

To use it, you need a special phone case (the Link) that houses a battery and the Swippitt Hub itself. The Hub, resembling a futuristic tissue box, holds five batteries and can be swapped out with lightning speed. Simply slot your phone into the Hub, and two seconds later, it pops out fully charged.
