iPad owns 95.5 % of tablet market, new competition to face uphill climb


Its no surprise, really, that Apple's iPad dominates 95% of the tablet computing market as per a report from Strategy Analytics. The iPad, after all, is the only commercially available tablet in the market right now.  ViewSonic Corp.,  recently announced its ViewPad line of Android-based devices, featuring the ViewPad 7 and ViewPad 10. The ViewPad 7 will be available in late Q4 2010 for an ESP of $479. Third-party accessories and ViewCare™ extended warranties will also be available at launch.
