Adobe Air's big play for desktops, tablets and mobile PC's

Adobe is looking beyond the PC as it releases the next revision of Adobe Air, how will the world react?  Adobe Systems Incorporated just  announced Adobe AIR 2.5 software for televisions, tablets, smartphones and desktop operating systems. A key element of the Adobe Flash Platform, AIR enables developers to leverage existing code to create and deliver standalone applications across devices and platforms.

HTC Desire Z coming to Bell, offers a keyboard and mobile Flash 


Another Android smartphone has been announced, this time a 3'7 inch screen with a pop-out keyboard.  HTC Corporation announced the upcoming exclusive availability of the new HTC Desire Z Android-based smartphone from Bell Mobility. Taking advantage of Bell's HSPA+ network, the HTC Desire Z will be the first smartphone in Canada offering download speeds up to 14.4 megabits per second and it has Adobe Flash built-in.

Competition finally coming to the tablet space

 

 

 

 

When the Apple iPad came early this year it redefined the a new market segment. The iPad brought with it the promise of truly untethered mobile computing without the need for a physical keyboard or even a full-blown operating system.
