We were at Microsoft Canada earlier today checking out the Windows 8 webcast and got a demo of the new Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 apps coming to Rogers who is also getting three exclusive WP8 handsets and a tablet. Here ae some of the more innovative apps for Rogers subscribers thinking of getting a new Windows Phone.

Google Maps on Android updated, now with 3D and offline navigation

Google has made a big update to Google Maps on the Android OS. Available now at the Android Market, Google Maps 5 is now offering 3D versions of the maps as well as offline navigation which doesn't need the GPS or Internet connectivity.
