Bethesda will actually ship canvas bags for ‘Fallout 76’ Power Armor Edition buyers

Not as advertised, this was the bag Power Armor Edition buyers were getting

Buyers of the US $200 Power Armor Edition box for Fallout 76 were not happy when they received the bundle and found a rather cheaply-built nylon bag in place of what was promised to be a “West Tek Canvas Carrying Bag.” Last week, Bethesda tried to get back into the good graces of the players by giving them 500 atoms (in-game currency worth around US $5) to make up for it. But now it looks like they’re going to live up to their word. Bethesda announced on Twitter that it is “finalizing manufacturing plans for replacement canvas bags” and those who bought the Collector’s Edition should fill out a ticket by the end of January. The developer didn’t say when the bags will be shipping, but at the very least they’re living up to what was promised.

Bethesda reportedly rescinds its ‘Fallout 76’ PC refunds

Late last week, there were reports that Bethesda was offering refunds to PC players of Fallout 76 for those who cited problems like performance issues. But new developments suggest this might not be happening. A recent post from Reddit user ZPKane suggests there was a refund offered before but the company has since rescinded the offer. ZPKane first got an email from Bethesda when he voiced his displeasure about the game’s performance saying they couldn’t process the refund at the moment, but they will get back to him when they can. While waiting for the refund to push through, he got another email saying that the downloaded game isn’t eligible for a refund.

While doing research on the issue, Spiel Times found Bethesda’s refund policy which states, “If you want to download digital content within the 30-day cancelation period, you must agree to waive your cancelation rights.” So, for now this might be the reason why the refunds aren’t pushing through. Bethesda hasn’t released a comment on the matter just yet.

‘Fallout 76’ bug gives one player immortality, they’re now begging for death

There's an instant kill barrier at the fissure south of Whitespring but even this doesn't kill Brogadyn's character as you can see

A bug in Fallout 76 has granted one player immortality but now said player is hoping Bethesda kills of their character. Redditor Brogadyn took to the Fallout 76 subreddit to complain about the bug that’s made their character unkillable after hitting level 40. The character can even survive a nuke blast. Brogadyn said, “There is literally zero ways that she can die even if I wanted her to (which I very much do at this point.)” The game considers Brogadyn’s character as having zero health points or negative health points. It’ll occasionally get health back but when this drops, it doesn’t result to its death.

Bethesda clarifies microtransaction concerns over ‘Fallout 76’

Bethesda wants to make sure its players are clear about microtransactions and loot boxes that will be featured in Fallout 76. The developer wants to make it clear that they aren’t adapting a pay-to-win model. Bethesda’s Pete Hines spoke to GameSpot about what in-game purchases mean for the game. He said, “If you don’t want to spend money in the Atomic shop for cosmetic stuff you don’t have to. We give you a shitload of Atoms just for playing the game. Folks that want to spend money on whatever the hell it is because they don’t have enough Atoms, they can, but it’s not, ‘I’m now better playing against other players because I spent money.’ It’s not pay-to-win. And it’s not loot crates.”

Hines added that to make sure the game stays on the “right side of the line,” they will be releasing a free DLC post-launch and that they have plans to support the game “indefinitely.” Fallout 76 launches on November 14 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
