Citizen CZ Smart uses AI to measure your alert levels

Source: Citizen

Citizen has unveiled the new version of its CZ Smart smartwatches line. This new wearable comes with what the brand calls a built-in AI "self-care advisor." Citizen collaborated with IBM Watson Studio to develop its proprietary YouQ app. The app uses NASA technology to let you know when you're most alert or fatigued to "maximize daily potential." It reminds us of the Polar Ignite 3.

The YouQ app's use of IBM Watson's neural networks is the most intriguing concept on this smartwatch. It's meant to learn your "chronotype" (preferred timing of sleep and wake) over a seven- to 10-day period through processing sleep data and "alert scores."

Samsung debuts Odyssey Neo G9 dual UHD gaming monitor

This new gaming monitor from Samsung brings a whole new wide field of view on one display. The Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 delivers a 7,680 x 2,160 resolution and a 32:9 aspect ratio, which the company says is a world first. This 100R curved 57-inch screen uses quantum mini LED technology with VESA Display HDR 1000 specification to make it easier to see shadows and bright screens in your game. Samsung pairs that with a Matte Display finish reducing light reflection and a 240Hz refresh rate for fast-paced gameplay.

The company also claims that the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 gets the world's first DisplayPort 2.1 support, which transfers data approximately twice as fast as DisplayPort 1.4. This new standard allows for lossless Display Stream Compression, so it transmits information without distortion. We don't have any pricing information just yet, but it is coming to CES 2023 alongside other new displays from Samsung.
