Final 'Star Wars Jedi: Survivor' trailer drops ahead of April 28 release

Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts have dropped one final teaser for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. The game is set to come out on April 28 for the Sony PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The almost two-minute trailer is a mix of story and gameplay highlights, focusing on protagonist Cal Kestis and how he joins forces with some non-playable companions. If you want to go into the game blind, the trailer does hit a few story beats, but Respawn suggests "not all images appear in-game."

Amazon reportedly wants to develop a 'Mass Effect' TV show

EA/BioWare

Amazon Studios' next fantasy series might be based on Electronic Arts and BioWare's Mass Effect franchise. There are no details about this rumour. But Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke told Deadline it is "continuing to invest in fantasy genre of all kinds, we have a genre-focused team on the ground in Studios who work tirelessly with our creative partners on those slates, and you can look forward to more."

This isn't the first rumour about the franchise, though. EA recently said the TV series is "not a matter of if, but when." The Witcher star Henry Cavill hinted at the series in a cryptic Instagram post earlier this year. If this rumour mill keeps turning, we might just hear more about it sooner than later.

'Battlefield' will get a standalone mobile game next year

It might have taken a bit of time, but now Electronic Arts confirms that a "fully-fledged, skill-based" version of Battlefield is coming to mobile. According to the developer, the new mobile game will launch in 2022, offering a "completely different" experience from the upcoming Battlefield for consoles. DICE is working closely with Industrial Toys to develop this mobile version.

As for the console and PC game, EA said the game would offer a "jaw-dropping" experience later this year. It's currently in daily playtesting with Criterion and DICE polishing the game ahead of its release. "It has everything we love about Battlefield—and takes all of it to the next level. Epic scale. All-out military warfare. Crazy, unexpected moments. Game-changing destruction. Massive bales, packed with more players and mayhem than ever before," the company wrote.
