Possible Nexus 5 device leaked in Android KitKat promo video?

Google blindsided everyone with the sudden name change of its next mobile operating system. But they seem to have accidentally shown an unknown Nexus phone in the promotional video for Android 4.4 or Android KitKat. You can see it around the 38-second mark. The black Nexus device features a new matte black finish and a horizontal Nexus logo and there is an LG logo on it as well. LG has already been rumored to be manufacturing the Nexus 5 after the Nexus 4’s successful run.

On a slightly different note, KitKat has gotten in on the promotion with their own wacky promo video for the new OS.

LG premium phones get “G” branding

We may or may not find out what “G” stands for but LG Electronics intends to use that letter for their premium smartphones. The Korean brand’s next flagship device is going to be known as the G2 and will be the first phone to represent the brand. Another brand change is the renaming of their 4:3 display devices to just “Vu.”

Google Nexus 4 Coming to TELUS on April 19

TELUS will be offering the Google Nexus 4 starting on April 19th. This is the Pure Google flagship smartphone made by LG for Google and featuring the newest version of the Jelly Bean Android OS plus guarantee that new versions of said OS will come to this device. Available unlocked for $309 at the Google Play Store, it isn't yet known how much TELUS will price the device or whether their variant will be able to access 4G-LTE. The Nexus 4 is based on the LG Optimus G and while the 4G-LTE radio exists, it was rendered useless by Google.

LG snipes Samsung on Galaxy IV launch date, shows it has a sense of humour

While Samsung is attempting to 'take the fight to Apple by launching a product in their backyard,' with tonight's launch event. LG has seen an opportunity to dump on Samsung's pomp and pageantry by dropping a billboard right on top of Samsung's own billboard. Samsung's ad screams "Be ready 4 the next Galaxy," and LG's right above says "LG Optimus G is here 4 you now!" LG even matches Samsung's colour scheme of black and white panels.
