We're kicking off Spring with a new contest in tandem with LG Canada. We will be giving away an LG G2 now with the Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS.

The latest Android OS also provides a noticeable speed boost, allowing the G2 to run applications up to 17 per cent faster than before. It also delivers quicker web browsing, based on internal testing, thanks to the Chromium engine. LG’s Knock Code to be available on select smartphones

LG wants to secure the way you open your device with the upcoming rollout of the Knock Code feature. It builds on the Knock On feature introduced in the G2 and G Flex and lets users unlock their devices by tapping a preset code in various quadrants of the device’s screen. The feature will be available starting April on the G2, G Flex, G Pro 2, G2 mini, F Series, and L Series III.

LG G2 gets anticipated Android 4.4 KitKat OS upgrade

LG Electronics (LG) Canada announced today that the anticipated Android 4.4 KitKat OS upgrade for the G2 smartphone will roll out in Canada by the end of this month. 

“LG is constantly striving to improve the user experience for its mobile customers and the latest KitKat OS upgrade furthers our commitment to Canadians,” said Ross Snow, vice-president of Mobile Communications, LG Canada. “In addition to introducing new features, the KitKat OS upgrade for the G2 delivers a number of optimizations that enhance the entire mobile user experience. We trust that our customers will enjoy the differentiated value offered by our latest upgrade package.”

LG Canada's Dealer Show reveals focus on 4K, webOS HDTVs and wearables

LG Canada showcased its recent products, many of which haven't been seen outside of CES 2014. The focus this year was more affordable 4K HDTV's, the newly-acquired webOS SmartTV operating system, IPS panels of LED HDTVs and various lifestyle and wearable products.
