TigerDirect is the first online retailer to accept the Bitcoin currency

Bitcoin, the virtual currency that's making waves has just got a major champion in retailer TigerDirect.com who announced they will be accepting Bitcoin - a peer-to-peer digital currency - as a method of payment on over 200,000 products. TigerDirect is the first major US electronics retailer and largest company to date to accept the digital currency Bitcoin via BitPay. Hit jump for the details.

Apple unveils iOS 7 at WWDC 2013

Apple today unveiled iOS 7, the most significant iOS update since the original iPhone, featuring a stunning new user interface. iOS 7 is completely redesigned with subtle motion, an elegant color palette and distinct, functional layers that make it feel more alive. Demoed on stage at WWDC, iOS 7's simple, minimal and colourful new look delighted over 5,000 developers in attendance at the event. TELUS to buy Mobilicity for $380 million, adds 250,000 susbcribers

Looks like the inevitable has happened. Mobilicity is being bought by TELUS for $380 million and as a result 250,000 existing Mobilicity subscribers will be absorbed into TELUS which already owns Koodo, a budget brand that competes with Mobilicity.

"A concern for our customers and employees led us to approach TELUS, which has a reputation for a strong customer focus, as evidenced by their industry leading client loyalty," said Stewart Lyons, Mobilicity President. "I am confident TELUS will look after our employees and our customers, mitigating any disruption to their service, while offering the best outcome for all stakeholders."
