Here’s a quick update for you Samsung Galaxy Note 5 users. The phablet is set to receive its second Android 6.0.1 update this week in South Korea. But aside from that it’s been reported that the Marshmallow treatment will be heading to Canada, the United States, and Europe. Those reported to be getting the update in the coming weeks include those on Rogers, Bell, and Telus. According to Tech Times, the update is already rolling out to Bell and Telus subscribers, so you should just wait for it to head your way. The update is also said to be pushing to Galaxy S6 Edge+ users. Those on Rogers’s network are expected to get the over-the-air update on April 27th.

TELUS and Huawei partner to build ‘5G Living Lab’ in Vancouver

TELUS have announced that they have a memorandum of understanding with telecommunications and ICT supplier Huawei to build a “5G Living Lab” in Vancouver. The new project will have Huawei and TELUS testing next-generation converged fibre-wireless network in downtown Vancouver. Review: Motorola Moto X Play

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

The Moto X Play felt as fast and responsive as last year’s model and matched the performance of a more expensive Samsung Galaxy Note 4, it exceeded both of these in battery life, easily edging into two and a half days of mixed use.

The latest and most advanced Moto X smartphone (at least for Canadians) is the Moto X Play, which fits in as a nice middle model between the stellar Moto G (3rd Gen) and the Moto X Pure/Style coming to other countries.

The Moto X Play takes many of the renowned features and styling of the the Moto X (2014) and actually improves on them. We have a larger 1080p HD display at 5.5-inches (403 ppi) and no longer using the AMOLED technology but a more even-coloured LCD technology. This isn’t a jaw-droppingly stunning display, but it is clear, readable, and reflection free and is more energy efficient which plays into the device’s overall superb battery life.
