IFA 2012: Samsung introduces the ultimate smart camera

IFA, Berlin ( Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) - Phablets, which merge the size and features of smartphones and tablets are so last year! Samsung's gone and Frankensteined a smartphone and a point and shoot camera, the result is far from monstrous. It is rather intriguing. The aptly named Samsung Galaxy Camera is a 16-megapixel shooter with a 4.8-inch LCD that also serves as the giant viewfinder and will be where most of the controls can be accessed. It has 21x zoom plus for those who were wondering, it does feature WiFi, 3G and even 4G which means it can be used as a phone.

Video:Toshiba Thrive 7-inch Android Honeycomb tablet

We saw the 7-inch Toshiba Thrive druing Toshiba's Holiday product showcase today. This is the lightest 7-inch tablet we've seen, runs a pure Android experience and has the same high resolution of the 10-inch model but in a smaller, more portable form factor. WiFi model coming in November and a 3G version sometime early 2012.

Review: Amazon Kindle 2.0 now selling at $189 

You can thank the iPad, and the Barnes and Noble Nook, and the Sony Reader....heck, even the Kobo Reader. All that competition has shaken and stirred Amazon to reduce the price of their Kindle 2 ebook reader to a sensible US $189.00 (it originally cost Canadians $312 plus import taxes late last year!)
