Microsoft finally creates ad that doesn’t poke fun at Apple

It is certainly refreshing when tech companies talk about the merits of their devices instead of talking down their competitors. Microsoft has released a new ad for Surface Pro 3. It makes use of reviews from The Verge, Stuff.tv, and TIME Magazine. It also features K-Pop group 2NE1’s song “I Am The Best” as the commercial’s background. Do you prefer this straightforward ad instead of one that takes jabs at their competitors? Let us know.

Apple unveils new holiday ad

Following last year’s “Misunderstood” ad, Apple has just released on its site its new holiday ad. Entitled “The Song,” the concept behind it involves a girl who discovers a gift from her grandmother to her grandfather from 1952. It was an old record that has a message talking about how they couldn’t be together for the holidays as well as a rendition of “Love is Here to Stay” by her grandmother. The young girl learned the tunes and vocals of the song and recorded her portions and put it alongside her grandmother’s. She then leaves an iPad mini with a note that says, “A Duet, Press Play” for her grandmother to find.
