Breaking News: iOS 4.2 for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad coming today -brings multitasking, folders and printing

The long wait is over. Version 4.2 is the big iOS update that brings Multitasking, Folders, Unified Inbox, Game Center, AirPlay & AirPrint to iPad and to the iPhone and iPod Touch. For iPad users, this update completely improves on the iPad's features and adds features users have been clamouring for since early this year. As an added bonus, the "Find My iPhone" (or iPad or iPod) feature is now free for all users and allows the ability to locate registered i-devices, send messages or in the event that the devices are stolen, wipe all the user data. iOS 4.1 update now available for iPhone and iPod Touch

Apple to live stream launch event today

Apple's September 1 announcement/event is a few hours away and the reveal will be streamed live for Mac users at Apple.com. Apple is expected to unveil new iPod music players, possibly an updated AppleTV and an OS update to the iPad but there may be a few more surprises. Apple launch events are not traditionally streamed live but video is posted at a later date so we're wondering what makes this announcement different.

Review: Hipstamatic Camera for the iPhone (updated)

It is seldom that we find one iPhone app that gives us so much pleasure to use. As photograhy buffs, we've run the gamut of iPhone camera apps which enhance the device's convenient but often limited built-in camera. We've had our turn with Lomography type cameras as well as special effects apps that alter and enhance photos but many of those feel like cheap gimmicks. When we discovered Hipstamatic App, this all changed.
