LG debuts L Series III smartphones ahead of MWC 2014

LG wants to be top of mind before Mobile World Congress with debut of new L Series III smartphone line. The L40, L70, and L90 aims to target users from the emerging markets. All devices run on Android 4.4 KitKat and 1.2GHz dual-core or quad-core processors. Screen sizes range from 4.5 inches to 4.7 inches. RAM starts at 512MB to 1GB and memory is either 4GB or 8GB. Do not expect the devices to be LTE capable though.

Will the Nexus 5 be sold in new colours?

Certain leaks are pointing to the possibility of seeing the Nexus 5 smartphone in various colours aside from the standard black and white variants. Rumour has it that we'll see Nexus 5's in red, blue, yellow and green. While there's not telling if this is a hoax or a way to further entice new users into the Nexus fold, using Googly colours is a strategy Google currently employs for it's most recent HP Chromebook 11 models (although certain colours, it seems, are not available in all markets). Stay tuned for developments.

First look at LG's notebooks and desktops from CES 2014

By Gadjo C. Sevilla

LG is not the first name to come to mind when your're thinking notebook or desktop computers, but judging from the range of new products showcased during CES 2014 and captured by contributor Alex Davies, LG's been busy ramping up their PC and even Chromebase (?) portfolio. Now, while many of these look really sweet, LG's traditionally focused its notebook sales in Asia, so it's anyone's guess if any of these will make it to Canada anytime soon but we can always hope.

CES 2014: First look at LG's webOS-powered SmartTV

Kudos to LG for taking the discarded carcass of the once-promising webOS platform and shaping it into something new and exciting with their webOS-powered SmartTV.  CES and webOS have a strange connection, the OS was introduced by Palm, together with the first Pre smartphone at CES 2009. Years later, webOS makes a stunning comeback as the most innovative take on SmartTV. It's good to see that webOS has a lot more to offer even if it isn't in a mobile device.
