Pinterest and WooCommerce are making it easier for merchants to use the platform to sell their products. They launched a new Pinterest extension that can turn your product catalogue into shoppable Product Pins. When you install the extension, it automatically turns your products into Pins that people can search and browse for buying on the platform. It even gives you data on which products customers interact with on the app, so you'll know the best-selling or most saved items. You can get more info on how to install it here.
The companies recommend sellers to use the extension instead of manually uploading photos since it automatically updates details like pricing and product availability. If you want to try it out, you're lucky that Canada is one of the countries to get the feature now.

Pinterest wants to make it easier for its users to access menstrual health-related materials and products. The increasing demand for menstrual information led to the company pushing to make resources more readily available to its users.
The app introduces a new menstrual-focused page on Today's Inspiration featuring resources and curated creator content. There's also a new Period Proud shopping resource for shoppable access to period products available in Canada. The site has also partnered with Canadian lifestyle creators like Letitia Kiu and Kaya Marriott to continue the work on destigmatizing period education.
Pinterest redesigns its home feed to bring a new "watch" tab alongside its "browse" section. This new tab offers a full-screen feed of Idea Pins (a.k.a. multi-page, portrait video format similar). You will see the best Idea Pins relevant to your interests and preferences. As for the "browse" tab, Pinterest says it is "an evolution of Pinterest's traditional inspiration feed." This new look is rolling out to both Android and iOS users.
