EA to release a 'MySims: Cozy Bundle' on the Switch

There hasn't been a The Sims game on the Nintendo Switch yet, until now. Well, sort of. Switch gamers are going to get a version of it. EA has announced the release of a MySims: Cozy Bundle for the handheld console. It will include updated versions of the MySims and MySims Kingdom games with Switch-optimized controls and updated textures.

MySims can be described as a cross between The Sims and Animal Crossing. You're tasked to rebuild a run-down town by procuring blueprints, building homes, and making furniture to attract new residents. There are different characters with unique characteristics that set them apart.

Apple shares 'Glowtime' event date, iPhone 16 lineup to take centre stage

Apple has officially announced its upcoming "Glowtime" event, scheduled for September 9th, 2024, at 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT. The highly anticipated event will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park.

As expected, the iPhone 16 lineup will be a major focus of the event. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are rumoured to feature a significant design change with a vertically aligned camera system on the back, a departure from the horizontal arrangement seen in previous models.

Reports from Reddit and the Pixel community forum detail the issue, with users encountering inconsistent charging behavior even when using Google's own second-generation charging stand.

Some users have noted that their devices display "odd behavior" when wirelessly charging, such as starting to charge and then abruptly stopping. Others have reported excessive heat generation and sporadic charging with MagSafe Qi chargers.

Meta reportedly scraps high-end Apple Vision Pro competitor

Meta has supposedly abandoned plans for a premium mixed-reality headset designed to compete with Apple's Vision Pro. The decision, according to internal sources, came after a product review meeting attended by CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

The headset, codenamed "La Jolla," was slated for a 2027 release and was touted to feature high-quality micro OLED displays, similar to those found in the Vision Pro. However, the high cost associated with these displays proved to be a significant hurdle in achieving a price point below US$1,000 (around CA$1,350).
